Course Team Leader - ESOL
Having worked at Harrow College for more than 6 years in the ESOL, English and Maths School, not a day has been the same. Our assets are our staff and students. Staff are very supportive and welcoming and so are the students.
I have worn different hats whilst at the college and it is very rewarding. Our roles go beyond teaching a language - we help students develop crucial skills that help them settle, live and work in the UK and prepare for the life in the UK to become responsible citizens within their communities. Our new Gateway qualification (living and working the UK) spearheaded by our Head of School is now taught across 34 colleges nationally and the success stories are endless.
A career at HRUC is very rewarding and staff development is at the heart of the organisation with funding available to staff to gain teaching qualifications and other training/ CPD relevant to their needs. I recommend working at HRUC highly!
