Salary:  £15,356 to £16,321 Actual salary for 18 hours per week, 52 weeks per year
Working hours expected to be Wednesday afternoons, Thursdays and Fridays

In this rewarding role, you will support the People Advisor in delivering People services and ensuring the effective implementation of HR processes across HRUC. The role will involve providing first-line HR support, assisting with employee relations, recruitment processes, and contributing to the development of a positive working environment.   Responsibilities include:

  • Providing administrative support for HR processes, including maintaining employee records, changes to employment terms and processing payroll changes
  • Acting as a first point of contact for employee queries, providing guidance on policies and procedures and escalating issues as required
  • Assisting the People Advisor with employee relations matters, including disciplinary and grievance processes, ensuring adherence to HRUC policies.
  • Maintain high quality staff records, ensuring data accuracy and legislative compliance

We are seeking to appoint a well organised individual who can demonstrate the following:

  • At least 1 year of experience in an HR administrative or support role
  • Awareness of HR policies and legislation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and preferably some experience with HR Information Systems
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships across the College group
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
