Course Team Leader - Performing Arts - Uxbridge College
My journey with Uxbridge college started in 2009 following an interest in joining the performing arts department as part of my teacher training. After a long stint within the industry as well as teaching in the private sector, I embarked on a new venture with the College.
During my time here, I have worked with a vast range of talented students working on exciting projects including Musicals, Plays, Concerts, Murder Mysteries and Showcases to name but a few. Pushing the students to higher levels has always been my goal, and over the past five years the team have built the brand Praxis Performing Arts which has accelerated the standard across the board. The team are passionate about the department and since gaining my role as Course Team Leader nearly four years ago I can honestly say that working within the department is fantastic! I work with a highly motivated and talented team whose drive, and ambition inspires me to push myself and lead by example. A great deal of work created here is of an industry standard and our motivation to keep improving the department is testament to the outstanding results the students and the team gain by the end of the academic year.
I really enjoy working at the College and my love for performing and directing will never wane. I will continue to motivate and push the skills of the students to higher levels as that is the reason why I do my job.
